Discovery Cart: The Airport's First Month

Fly into our collections the first weekend of every month! Suitable for all ages, explore a different theme every month and get up close with curated items not often seen in the gallery. Educators will be on hand to share facts and tidbits about some of these fascinating objects! 114 years ago in October 1909, Wilbur Wright came to College Park Airport to teach two officers to fly. On this month’s Discovery Cart, we’ll be looking at their first month here, from setting up the airplane to the first solo flight! Registration is not required.
