The world is full of beauty, so why not enjoy it? If you have the option of spending somewhere gorgeous, it seems like the right choice to take that opportunity — even better if you can document the experience with some fabulous photographs. Prince George’s is lucky enough to be packed with locations that fit exactly this bill.

Venture out to these eight beautiful spots to boost your photos and your memories:

  1. The National Colonial Farm is run by the Accokeek Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the 200 acres of Piscataway Park. It also runs the National Colonial Farm, a living history museum that showcases what a middle-class family farm would have looked like around the American Revolution. There is heritage breed livestock, seed-saving programs, and — most importantly for your photographs — gorgeous, uninterrupted landscapes. Stroll the grounds and enjoy the beauty.

  1. Sip a drink at the Belvedere Lobby Bar at the Gaylord Convention Center by Marriott in National Harbor. While you might think you’re there for the appetizer and cocktails — and those are definitely delicious — you’re really there for the windows. The windows extend from the floor to the ceiling and across the roof to bring in the most beautiful natural light. Snap some photos as you bask in the sunlight.

  1. Sometimes the food you’re eating just isn’t enough. You need to eat something delicious in a beautiful setting. The interiors at Manifest Bread in Hyattsville match its fare in both elegance and function. We’d bet a loaf of the cafe’s signature sourdough that your camera roll will be full of selfies by the time you finish your meal.

  1. Get views of the Potomac River, Washington, D.C., Prince George’s, and beyond from atop The Capital Wheel. This iconic National Harbor experience is open throughout the day and well into the evening, so you can choose whether you’d like to see the morning sun shine over the water or watch the sunset as you ride. Talk about an Instagram-worthy shot.

  1. No one would blame you for stopping for a mini photo shoot after grabbing your coffee at Vigilante Coffee in Hyattsville. The mural outside, with its colorful imagery and nods to the coffee-creating process, makes for an excellent background for your photographs. You’re guaranteed to get your beauty and caffeine fix on the outing.

  1. The setting of Robin Hill Farm and Vineyard is so wonderful that many people choose to have their wedding celebrations on site. The bright red barn makes for an excellent background for your photographs, and the historic landscape is lush, green, and rolling. Enjoy a glass of wine as you find the best spot for your images.

  1. On a sunny day, the water at Buddy Attick Lake Park is picture-perfect. The blue skies reflect on the 23-acre lake, making it seem like they both could go on forever. Pack your camera and a picnic to enjoy in this aquatic wonderland. To find less crowded views, walk the 1.25-mile trail around the water.

  1. The University of Maryland campus in College Park is undeniably stunning — and you can find plenty of fantastic spots for photos there. Head to the tree-lined McKeldin Mall and the 250-foot-long Omicron Delta Kappa fountain for some stately images. Try the Arboretum and Botanical Gardens for photos with well-tended flowers and greenery. Visit the Memorial Chapel to capture a shot in front of its classic red-brick columns.
