Colorful eggs. Brimming baskets. Delicious meals. There is so much to enjoy and celebrate on Easter, from family connections to community festivities. The best moments are ones you can enjoy with the people you love, and there are plenty of opportunities to do that in Prince George’s.
Enjoy your Easter at one of these family-friendly Prince George’s events:
- Celebrate with the community. Visit David C. Harrington Park in Bladensburg on March 28 to participate in an Easter egg hunt, play games, listen to music, and take a photo with the Easter bunny. The Bladensburg Police Department’s Eggstavagana will start at 10 a.m.
- Hunt for eggs by the water. Join the community at Bladensburg Waterfront Park for the 6th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza. The event will include an Easter egg hunt, live entertainment, games and activities for the kids, and yummy food. The donations-only celebration will run on April 4 from 12–5 p.m. at the park, with an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny. Register ahead of time.
- Take a photo with the bunny. Head to The Mall at Prince George’s in Hyattsville to get professional photos with the Easter Bunny. The friendly holiday mascot will be at Macy’s from March 20 to April 4. You can book your time slot and a photo package in advance — or walk right up and see the bunny.
- Dye your own eggs. Visit the Brentwood Arts Exchange on April 4 from 1–3 p.m. to make one-of-a-kind creations that celebrate the holiday. Experiment with colors, patterns, and fun techniques, all guided by the artistic experts at the center during this free event.
- Enjoy Easter from above. On April 4th and 5th, the Easter Bunny will visit The Capital Wheel in National Harbor. If you book a ticket for the sky-high ride, you can also take a photo with the bunny.
- Honor the occasion at the farm. Spend the afternoon on March 28 at Promise Landing Farm in Upper Marlboro. The site is hosting its Bunny Hop event, with a spring egg hunt and potluck picnic. The space is dedicated to serving as an inclusive equestrian community for riders of all abilities.
- Book a brunch. Reserve a table at one of the restaurants in National Harbor hosting an Easter brunch. Fogo de Chao is serving an Easter meal with waterfront views, while McCormick & Schmick’s is offering classic favorites and seafood-forward dishes for its holiday meal.
