1937, 1943, 1944, 9 mile long, dual lane parkway w/concrete-arch bridges
faced w/stone; connects Andrews Air Force Base with Bolling Air Force Base
in Washington, D. C.. Planned before the outbreak of World War II, the
project came to fruition with the entrance of the US into the war and the
establishment of Andrews Air Force Base a few months later. Significant for
its association with the war and the base.
