  1. Catch the Get Fit Mobile at Lake Artemesia Park on April 3. You’ll get to walk the trails at your own pace, alongside community members who are also dedicated to their health and wellness.
  2. Bring your superhero-loving kids to the Hillcrest Heights library on April 3 to enjoy a family movie night. Staff will be showing “The Incredibles,” a story of a family of undercover superheroes who are forced to save the world.
  3. Listen to Deep Shenoy at this month’s Curiosity Jam session at Brentwood Arts Exchange on April 4. You can listen to an expert and learn to play the basic outline of an Indian classical music scale on your own instrument, including your voice. No knowledge or experience is required.
  4. Bring the kids to the Prince George’s Publick Playhouse on April 9 to hear The Lonely Lion, the heartwarming story of a lion who is scared of everything. This family-friendly story ends with the lion overcoming his fear to help a friend.
  5. Find history in your backyard at the Community Archaeology Project at Darnall’s Chance House Museum on April 9. You’ll get a hands-on history lesson while you work as a team to process and identify real artifacts excavated from Prince George’s historic sites.
  6. Smokey Robinson is coming to The Theater at MGM National Harbor on April 12, and you can head to the venue to enjoy his classic hits, from his time as the former frontman of the Miracles and as a key figure in the Motown movement.
  7. Hear from Prince George’s County Poet Laureate, Dr. Khadijah Z. Ali-Coleman, at the Bowie library on April 16. She’ll read from her 2023 collection, “The Summoning of Black Joy” and her new work, “For the Girls Who Do Too Much.”
  8. Watch a performance by the acclaimed Dallas Black Dance Theatre on April 18 at Prince George’s Publick Playhouse, then catch a master class with the group that evening. The repertoire includes works by Alvin Ailey, Milton Myers, Twyla Tharp, and more.
  9. On April 20, you can enjoy Sonic Frontiers: Experimental Electronic Music Spring Festival at the Brentwood Arts Exchange. Take in the intriguing soundscapes and dazzling visuals of the live electronic and projection project.
  10. Explore history through food when you learn about 19th-century American cooking practices at a Kitchen Guild Cooking Demonstration at the Riversdale House Museum. The theme for the April 21st event is dairy.
  11. The Prince George’s Running Club is hosting its Springburst event for its 38th year on April 27. Runners and walkers of all levels, including kids, can travel along the historic Washington, Baltimore, and Annapolis Trail, leaving from the Glen Dale Splash Pad.
  12. Come together with the community at the exclusive Blue Party on April 27. The event, hosted at the Prince George’s Community College Culinary Arts Center will include a gourmet meal by top chefs and a night of elegant socializing.
