Metrobus Greenbelt-BWI Airport Express: Now available to and from BWI. Catch the Metrobus BWI Shuttle (Route B30 Express) at Greenbelt Metro Station for a quick, inexpensive ride to BWI Airport. A one-way trip is only $3.10. The Express takes you directly to the lower level of the terminal, where you can also catch a return shuttle to Greenbelt Metro Station. Amtrak operates approximately 90 trains daily in Maryland, mostly on the Amtrak-owned Northeast Corridor through Washington, DC, Baltimore Penn Station and Prince George’s County’s New Carrollton Station in Landover, MD.

MARC is a 187-mile Maryland commuter rail system that provides weekday-only service through Prince George’s County to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The service is managed by the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA).


There are 40 different stations (seven in Prince George’s County) along three different lines that are served by MARC. The Brunswick line runs between Washington, D.C. and Martinsburg, West Virginia; the Camden line runs between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland; and the Penn line runs between Washington, D.C. and Perryville, Maryland. Prince George’s County is served by five MARC stations along the Camden line (College Park, Greenbelt, Muirkirk, Laurel, and Riverdale), and three MARC stations along the Penn line (New Carrollton, Seabrook, and Bowie).

Prince George’s County, in conjunction with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), operates more than 70 bus routes in the County. Metrobus serves most major population centers and travel corridors in the County, providing more than 2,600 trips daily. Easy-to-spot red, white and blue signs identify Metrobus stops.

Timetables and Route Maps
Metrobus timetables include route maps, fare information and times when buses pass certain schedule points. You can obtain timetables online at the www.wmata.com or by calling 202-637-7000. All individual route maps and schedules can be viewed and printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. To plan your next Metrobus trip, you can visit WMATA’s The Ride Guide. Special Fare Information
Senior citizens (65 years or older) can obtain discounted fares using a Metro Senior Citizen ID Card. ID cards are available at County libraries. Please call 301-699-3500 or TDD 301-808-2061 for the location of the library nearest you.

Persons with disabilities who meet preset qualifications can obtain Metro Photo ID Cards at the Metro sales offices at 600 5th Street, N.W. They also can purchase Metrorail farecards at a reduced rate. Please call 202-637-7000 or TDD 202-638-3780 for specific details.


Prince George's County Transit LogoThe Bus

The Bus is Prince George’s County’s local bus service that supplements Metrobus services. CLICK HERE for fare, route and schedule information. You can also obtain up-to-date information by calling 301-324-BUSS (2877).

Buses operate Monday through Friday, no service is provided on Saturdays, Sundays, or major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day). Customer information hours of operation: 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Metrorail, operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), currently serves 86 stations throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area along 106 miles of track, much of it underground. The system consists of five color-coded lines: blue, green, orange, red and yellow. The lines intersect at various points, making it possible for passengers to change trains and travel anywhere on the system.

Greyhound is a nationwide bus line that serves both Washington DC and Baltimore from main downtown terminals with satellite terminals in the suburbs. In Prince George’s County, the satellite terminal is located at the New Carrollton Metro Station.
